Rajesh, a happy-go-lucky instructor, falls for Reena after seeing her in Bangalore and later in Chennai. He learns she is engaged to an NRI, Rajiv, whom she has never met, and impulsively impersonates Rajiv to win her love. Reena falls for him, but the truth is exposed when the real Rajiv arrives, and she breaks all ties with Rajesh. Later, she realises she truly loves Rajesh, while Rajiv discovers this on their wedding day and calls off the marriage. Rajiv reunites Reena with Rajesh at the airport as Rajesh is about to leave for Singapore, and the lovers get back together.
